I originally went to the site 'just to see' and in the sale section I seen the Ammo Palette which I had been eyeballing since my first and only trip to Ulta (closest one is 300+ miles away) for $19. I hedged and thought about it and looked up swatches and finally decided to buy since it was on sale because of the new version coming out with a different case, which I think looks aweful and I loved the old one so much. Then I seen they had the Mariposa Palette for $19. I hadn't heard much about it so I looked up swatches and though about it and hedged and finally gave in. Then I seen the Deluxe Shadow Box for $16. I thought so myself "now this is getting insane"... But I looked for swatches and hedged and finally gave in again. For a total of $54 I got free shipping (which made me reason with myself about the price for shipping if I wasn't over that $50 mark pretty much paid for one of them... right?"
So I placed my order and waited.... And waited.... And waited. Almost a week later I got a shipping confirmation. Then the next day I got an email from the company saying sorry for being so late, that the friends and family sale had set them back, and hoped to be sending my package soon. I clicked the link in the 'shipping confirmation' email and it was dead. The label had been printed, but not even scanned by UPS. Almost a week after that (I had been checking every day since to see) the page said it had been scanned and that I would have it in 3-5 days.
When I finally got my package I was so excited from having to wait so long. I opened it up and heres what I found:
Beautiful tissue paper wrapped around everything.
Cardboard slips on the back showing the colors.
And rows of beautiful shadows.
I've been using them since (I got them on March 1st) and I have a pretty good Idea of what I think of them. I will be doing an indepth review on each but overall I like them. They are all completely shimmery but I use them with matte shades already in my 'collection'. My favorite is the Deluxe Shadow Box (right) because of the bright colors. The other two are tied. The Mariposa Palette (center) is mostly gray and bronze undertones to is whereas The Ammo Palette (Left) is all gold undertones.
