It was high time I repainted my nails so I decided to film it this time. I just did a simple one color application for this tutorial using Pink Champagne from Sensationail.
Products used in order of use:
Sensationail Gel Primer
Sally Hansen Gel Polish Base Coat (Step 1)
Sally Beauty Supply generic cuticle pusher
Sensationail Color Gel Polish in Pink Champagne
Sally Hansen Gel Polish Top Coat (Step 3)
Sensationail Gel Clenser (empty, just shown)
Equate Non-Acetone Nail Polish Remover
It is essential that you clean around the nail after every application of the gel polish because it any is on the skin it will harden and cause the polish to lift
You DO have to cure in the lamp because it will not set otherwise. The gel is activated by the UV from the lamp.
You don't have to use the cleanser that comes with the set, and you don't have to use any fancy wipes. Just NON-ACETONE polish remover and a paper towel will work just fine.
For removal you MUST use acetone.
If you have any questions please ask, I'm happy to answer.

Golden Eyeshadow (video)
Today I felt like wearing gold so I thought that would be a perfect time to try out the color Limelight from my UD Mariposa palette on it's on (I've used the color along with other colors but never as the center focus). Result? A flop. I ended up using NYX eyeshadow in Blondie. I love Urban Decay but that shade did nothing for me. I'd love to try Half Baked but I don't own either of the Naked palettes so until then I'll stick with the NYX shadow for my gold needs.

As you can see on the back the colors are numbered. In the tutorial I used that number to tell you what color I was using from the quad.
I love this palette! It could stand to be more matte, but I'll take what I can get in the way of drugstore neutrals.
Urban Decay Haul
A while back, during the friends and family sale, I decided to make an order from Urban decay. I actually didn't know about the friends and family sale when I decided to 'go shopping' which plays into the story a bit later.
I originally went to the site 'just to see' and in the sale section I seen the Ammo Palette which I had been eyeballing since my first and only trip to Ulta (closest one is 300+ miles away) for $19. I hedged and thought about it and looked up swatches and finally decided to buy since it was on sale because of the new version coming out with a different case, which I think looks aweful and I loved the old one so much. Then I seen they had the Mariposa Palette for $19. I hadn't heard much about it so I looked up swatches and though about it and hedged and finally gave in. Then I seen the Deluxe Shadow Box for $16. I thought so myself "now this is getting insane"... But I looked for swatches and hedged and finally gave in again. For a total of $54 I got free shipping (which made me reason with myself about the price for shipping if I wasn't over that $50 mark pretty much paid for one of them... right?"
So I placed my order and waited.... And waited.... And waited. Almost a week later I got a shipping confirmation. Then the next day I got an email from the company saying sorry for being so late, that the friends and family sale had set them back, and hoped to be sending my package soon. I clicked the link in the 'shipping confirmation' email and it was dead. The label had been printed, but not even scanned by UPS. Almost a week after that (I had been checking every day since to see) the page said it had been scanned and that I would have it in 3-5 days.
When I finally got my package I was so excited from having to wait so long. I opened it up and heres what I found:

Beautiful tissue paper wrapped around everything.
Cardboard slips on the back showing the colors.
And rows of beautiful shadows.
I've been using them since (I got them on March 1st) and I have a pretty good Idea of what I think of them. I will be doing an indepth review on each but overall I like them. They are all completely shimmery but I use them with matte shades already in my 'collection'. My favorite is the Deluxe Shadow Box (right) because of the bright colors. The other two are tied. The Mariposa Palette (center) is mostly gray and bronze undertones to is whereas The Ammo Palette (Left) is all gold undertones.

Get Ready With Me - Purple
The first in a series of Get Ready With Me videos each with a different color theme.
I guess they changed the name because this is the one I bought but now it says the brand is Cheeky.

Clinique
I won't link to the drugstore brands I used in the tutorial but you can find them easily at walmart, target, walgreens, cvs, ect.
