Maybelline Color Sensational Shine/CoverGirl Simply Ageless Blush

I walked through the make up section of my local Kroger which is one of the best places to get discount make up. They don't have a very large section so they rotate often. What needs to go out for new stuff to come in if marked down.

I got the lipstick (regularly $6) for $1.50 and the blush (regularly ? I didn't actually look) for $2.50

Here's they are.

Here they are without the lids. The blush (230) is a redish color swirled with white. When mixed together they don't really change color to much.

These are the colors I got. Nude Glow 845, mauvilous Shine 820, Disco Pink 810, and Pink Freeze 805.

In almost the same order. 845, 820, 805, 810. Then the blush which I sheered out to what I would wear it on my cheek.

The lip sticks are smooth, creamy, and shiny. They go on pigmented and they smell good. At first theres a slight fruity scent that very faint and goes away within minutes. These do transfer so if you're looking for one that dries and doesn't transfer, this isn't it. But if you're looking for a glossy lipstick that feels great on the lips then this is for you.

I haven't actually used the blush on my face yet but I imagine it's going to be just like the Maybelline, Revlon, and Loreal cream blushed I have: Wonderful!

Review: Maybelline Dream Bouncy Blush

I've heard mostly bad things about these and I honestly don't agree. Just recently I was watching a 'worst of 2012' video on youtube and they were in the list because 'they don't have any color pay off'. Which is bull.

I first got one around june of 2012. I was late on the train even then but I finally decided to try it. So I bought the least colorful one there which is called 'Fresh Pink'. It's a light baby pink and it comes off true to color.

So after that I bought 'Pink Frosting' and 'Coffee Cake' which both come off true to color.

Here they are. (Fresh pink 05, Coffee Cake 06, Pink frosting 10)

Okay so flash kind of washed them out a bit. But thats just one finger swipe anyway. How I usually apply these is with a plain foundation brush. Just a cheap one from target.
